Dr. Bridianne O’Dea is a mental health researcher at the Black Dog Institute, UNSW. She completed her PhD in 2013 and her current research areas include internet interventions for depression and anxiety, adolescent mental health, and social media for suicide prevention. Dr O’Dea has been involved in the development of multiple e-mental health apps and was also responsible for co-leading the investigations into social media and suicide, including collaborations with CSIRO, Amazon Web Services, and PRADA at Deakin University, established by Prof. Christensen. She currently holds an Early Career Fellowship from the Society for Mental Health Research. This year Bridianne featured as a speaker at TedxYouth Sydney.
