How facing your fears can change your life | Andrew Gason

A sense of place is not static. It changes and evolves. It creates connectedness and belonging, and an understanding of place is fundamental to the concept of livability.

Andrew Gason was the hardest criminal around yet integrating back into society was his hardest journey of all.

As a Samoan raised in South Auckland (New Zealand), he spent half his life living in the criminal underworld being involved in every crime from burglary to weapon smuggling. The conclusion was prison. In 1998 Andrew was released from jail and started to search for a new direction in life. A new place to belong.

His TEDx Talk has over 1.4 million views and will permanently change your perspective on perceived obstacles and how it’s possible to overcome them.

Join us for an intimate conversation and insightful Q&A with Andrew as he explains how finding out he was adopted, led him to join a gang; which ultimately gave him the tools to engage with young people on all levels & give back to the community.  Don’t miss this.
