Month of Mindfulness

Work Club are thrilled to partner with Sydasana to activate our Month of Mindfulness during October. So join us every Wednesday at midday for a  ‘half-hour of mindfulness power’, hosted by our wellness partner, Sydasana. 

Our Month of Mindfulness is a great way to learn some new techniques and tools to adopt in helping to optimise our mental health and general wellbeing.

Sydasana are experts in Workplace Wellness, providing health programs for workplaces to stay engaged and thrive. Their services are designed to support physical and mental health; creating a positive culture within the workplace; and empower individuals.

Join us this October for a Month of Mindfulness.  

  • Mindful Eating – Transforming our relationship with food: Oct 6th 12pm.
    Explore the practice of mindful eating with Sydasana’s team Naturopath, Naomi Judge. Be ready with your lunch, as we guide you through a mindful eating exercise and presentation exploring tastebud and tongue mapping, the importance of all flavours and textures, as well aswhat happens to chemicals and messages in the brain when we practice mindful eating, finishing with a ​Q&A.​
  • Meditation – Take your mind on holiday: Oct 13th, 12pm
    Meditation is the perfect mental break to take during a working day to help clear the mind, de-stress, and refocus. This 30 minute session will be broken up into 3x meditation techniques focusing on the breath, our sensory environment, finishing with a guided visualisation.
  • Movement Meditation – Chi Gong & Yoga Nidra: Oct 20th, 12pm
    Movement meditation is a fun and easy way to cultivate mindfulness. This 30 minute session will explore Chi Gong, an ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine practice that brings our attention to the present moment using breath and movement; and Yoga Nidra which is a deeply restorative practice to relax the body and the mind. 
  • Breathwork – Calming techniques to relax and work through anxiety: Oct 27th, 12pm
    The breath is an amazingly powerful tool to manipulate our energy levels. We can calm the nervous system by using different breath techniques, resulting in a centred and relaxed state of being. In this 30 minute session, we will teach a variety of tranquilising techniques that you can add to your wellbeing toolkit.
